An Article On Immigration Canada

By Donna Snyder

By definition, this is the process through which an individual permanently changes their place of residence from one nation to another. It is an issue which has been on debate for a long time. Statistically, there has been a considerable increase in people who migrate into Canada, a situation which has captured the attention of many. In relation to this, the following is an article on immigration Canada.

There are many benefits attached to such individuals. To start with, through their absorption into the job market, they are able to lead to an economic growth of their new country. They usually transfer their skills into their new country and the government usually benefits from this through taxing their salaries hence a win-win situation at the end of the day.

The intermingling of persons from different ethnical backgrounds brings forth cultural diversity. This is what makes the world a very beautiful and interesting place. Persons are able to learn new things from each other, which brings about personal growth. To add on to that, unity is brought about when the foreigners marry the locals or vice-versa.

To add on to the above, most immigrants into Canada are at most times in search of a better life. Some of these persons are usually from very poor countries hence looking for a chance to make it in life. The illiterate are also given a chance to go back to school and attain certain certifications that will help them later on in life.

The provision of cheap labor is also another main advantage. Most immigrants into Canada are usually more willing to take up any kind of jobs unlike the local population. These jobs are usually of low pay but these aliens often take them up regardless. This leads to an overall growth in the work force.

There are, however, a set of disadvantages which can be linked to immigration. For starters, despite them providing a reliable work force, language barrier can come at a huge cost to the employer. Most of these immigrants usually have very heavy accents or suffer the complete lack of knowledge of the English language. This means that they cannot be relied upon to perform in jobs such as working at the front desk.

Another drawback associated with the influx of immigrants in Canada is the putting of pressure to the available resources. This usually is as a result of the increase in population which puts a lot of demand on resources such as land and water. This is why the Canadian government works very hard to make sure that this issue is always under control.

To sum up the above, it is evident that there are two sides to immigration. The associated benefits clearly outweigh the disadvantages. The reason as to why there is a great influx of people into Canada is that they are in search of a better life as most of these are usually from underdeveloped countries.
